I'm doing a major clothing purge this weekend and I was inspired to try on my
wedding dress today for the first time since we said 'I do' almost 13 years ago. I had always feared I would never be able to fit into it
again, so I found the courage and tried it on and guess what - it FITS! I about
fainted with a mix of shock and happiness!
My wedding dress has been sitting in a bag inside the back of my closet for the last 13 years. When Maddie was a baby, I had visions of possibly cutting it up to make a pillow or blanket for her. Or the thought of maybe her
wearing it for her own wedding had crossed my mind. But really, I bet
she’ll want her own. Wasn’t dress shopping so much fun? I loved it and
found my dress on the first day with my grandma. It was special.
So, what to do with this dress? Have you heard of Free to Flaunt, formerly Trash the Dress? It’s where you take pictures of you in your wedding
dress out in the elements or doing something that you normally wouldn’t
do in a wedding dress...like ride a horse or a tractor or go swimming in it. (don’t worry hunny...it’s just a thought but it sure would be
fun!)
So, what did you do with YOUR wedding dress? Is it sitting in your closet? Did you turn it into something else? Inspire me.
Oh good...I'm glad you were able to figure it out. I previously made a siggie in Photoshop and was just downloading it as a photo but this web-site makes it a WHOLE lot easier! Have fun! ;)

Oh and I happened to click on your signature and saw where you got it from. I'll have to try it out. ;)

It's sitting in my closet, hehe. :) Not sure how good it would look as a pillow or anything else. I like the idea of taking pictures in it.
Your signature - When I was changing my blog I ran across instructions the other day of how to make that. Did you use a handy instructional, program or is it a typepad feature?
